I often get asked for snack ideas, so here is an easy snack recipe recommended by one of my teachers - it is also a super antioxidant & energy boost!
Mix ½ cup of each: dried Goji berries, cacao nibs, & golden berries.
Keep in a container in the car or at your desk, and just one handful makes a great energy snack! If not allergic, you can add almonds and walnuts to the mix.
Nutritional facts:
Goji Berries: high concentration of anti-oxidants, contain 21 trace minerals and 18 amino acids, high in essential fatty acids, and contain 13% more protein than whole wheat.
Cacao Nibs: excellent source of anti-oxidants, contain one of the highest dietary sources of magnesium, one ounce has 9 g of fiber, one ounce contains 4 g of raw vegan protein, and one ounce contains 6% daily value of iron.
Golden Berries: An excellent source of vitamin A which plays a key role in vision health and the body’s immune system. They are also a great source of fiber.
